The Organized Family Kitchen

Project Summary

This Boerne kitchen remodel was designed with family life at its center. Rich cherry-stained raised-panel cabinetry wraps the perimeter, providing abundant storage while lending the kitchen a warm, inviting character that feels at home in the Texas Hill Country. The showpiece is an oversized dark-based island topped with a sweeping granite slab — seats six comfortably, with ample room for flowers, fruit bowls, and the everyday rhythm of a busy household. Pendant lights in warm brass hang above the island, casting a welcoming glow that ties together the dark cabinetry and golden granite tones. A tile-and-stone mosaic backsplash runs the full perimeter beneath the upper cabinets, adding texture and visual interest without competing with the cabinetry's natural warmth. Stainless steel appliances — including a French door refrigerator, electric range, and built-in microwave — bring modern efficiency to the traditional aesthetic. Travertine tile flooring throughout grounds the space and stands up to the demands of daily family use. The result is a kitchen that feels lived-in and loved from day one.
