Project Summary

This Shavano Park kitchen remodel was designed around the art of cooking. Rich dark walnut cabinetry with raised-panel doors and ornate corbel detailing wraps the perimeter, giving the kitchen an air of permanence and old-world craftsmanship. The centerpiece is a generous granite-topped island — veined in cool greys and warm creams — flanked by three sleek black bar stools that invite guests to pull up a seat while the cooking unfolds. A herringbone-pattern white tile backsplash adds texture and architectural interest behind the range wall, complementing the cool granite and warm wood without competing for attention. A drum pendant light above the island casts warm, focused light over the workspace, while recessed lighting illuminates every corner of the kitchen from above. Professional-grade stainless steel appliances — including double wall ovens, a built-in microwave, a pot filler above the range, and a panel-ready refrigerator column — give this kitchen genuine culinary capability. Light travertine tile floors run throughout, grounding the composition and creating a clean, bright counterpoint to the rich dark cabinetry above. The result is a kitchen that is as beautiful to look at as it is a pleasure to cook in — refined, purposeful, and built to last.
