Before the Project Starts
Once you have agreed to the details of your project you will recieve a copy of your signed contract and then the following will take place...
Funding
If you are financing the project yourself, you will be required to put down a deposit of 5-40% of the total cost as set forth in your signed contract, with the remaining balance broken into payments as noted on your signed contract.
If you need financing, we are prepared to assist you. It will take several weeks to process your loan application, although credit approval may only take a few days.
Measuring the Project
After the contract is signed, our Production Department will visit your home to verify all of the measurements, to inspect conditions and to confirm the scope of work to be done.
Timing the Project
Every customer wants their job done yesterday. Because of the difficulty of predicting a completion date, we are reluctant to commit to an exact date. It has been our experience that extenuating circumstances affect the overall timing of every project, yours included. Although timing is critical, we will not sacrifice the quality of the project.
Review the Plans
After any required drawings are complete, you will be required to review them for any final changes or corrections. Any changes after the drawings have been finalized may result in additional charges and/or an extension of the completion date.
Permits
Bobo Custom Builders will be responsible for obtaining the required work permits. The time to obtain these permits is different in every city. The process involves inspectors meeting with you, meeting with us and then ends up with your city's Building Department. This could take as long as two to three weeks. All permits, when acquired, must be posted on the job site, which we take care of.
Some areas have a local Homeowner's Association to assist in approving any form of construction work. If you are located in one of these areas, allow extra time for this procedure. It will be your responsibility to contact the Homeowner's Association and obtain the necessary approvals.
