For Satisfaction in a Dispute

If you feel that you have a valid claim for a deficiency, how would you go about getting it corrected? Begin by discussing the problems you find with your Project Manager. This will initiate immediate corrective action. If this does not prove satisfactory, contact our Construction Superintendent, who will be glad to resolve the dispute quickly and efficiently.

Before you initiate action, ask yourself; is this claim valid? Could I be misinformed? Could the be right?

Do you believe that something in the contract was not delivered? Check your contract documents and the plans to see if what you expect was actually included in writing. Perhaps you assumed it was included. If whatever you expected is not in writing, on the plans or in the contract, it is as it appears to be, not included and you were not charged for it. It is unreasonable to assume the item was provided without a cost attached to it.
